MAPUTO, Mozambique, July 6 (UPI) -- A territorial elephant at a Mozambique game reserve flipped a pickup truck while the driver recorded video from inside the vehicle.

Rudie Swanepoel, owner of Game Africa Estates, posted a video to Facebook showing the bull elephant charging toward the pickup while Swanepoel was filming it and other members of its herd at the Maputo Game Reserve.

Swanepoel honked the vehicle's horn in apparent effort to scare the elephant away, but the animal instead became angry and attacked the truck, flipping it onto its side.

Photos Swanepoel snapped of the truck after the incident show the damage from the elephant's attack as well as what appears to be a piece of the animal's tusk lost in the attack.

"Maputo Game Reserve. Not to be taken lightly....ever!!" Swanepoel wrote on Facebook.
