Truck crash covers road in thousands of baby chickens

YANGZHOU, China, June 17 (UPI) -- Thousands of baby chickens ran loose on a Chinese road after the truck carrying the birds crashed into another vehicle.

A video filmed at the scene Monday shows the chicks running free on the road in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, while firefighters worked to free the driver from the cab of the truck.

The driver was trapped for a time but evaded serious injuries.

The video ends with footage of rescuers rounding up the chicks and placing them back into the truck.
