McDonald's in Austria giving out six-packs of free beer

VIENNA, June 15 (UPI) -- McDonald's locations in Austria have begun a promotion that offers customers free six-packs of beer in celebration of the 2016 European soccer championship.

The deal allows McDonald's customers in Austria to receive a free six-pack of Ottakringer beer with the purchase of their meal.

The limited time offer is only available to customers who order delivery through food delivery service mjam.at on orders of $22 or more.

An advertisement for the promotion describes the deal is meant to "bring stadium atmosphere to your own livingroom" for customers who were unable to travel to France to watch Austria's national team compete in the European championships.
