Surprise cow MOO-ves directly into mountain biker's path

KIRCHBERG, Austria, June 6 (UPI) -- A mountain biker following a path in Austria narrowly escaped disaster by bailing from his bike when a cow unexpectedly ran into his path.

The video, uploaded to YouTube by user IDIIDIL, shows helmet-mounted camera footage depicting the biker riding along a hilly trail behind another cyclist in Kirchberg, Austria.

A cow at the side of the trail allows the first cyclist to pass without incident, but dashes out onto the trail before the second cyclist arrives.

The cyclist makes a split-second decision and jumps off of his bike to avoid colliding with the nearly-calamitous cow.
