MELBOURNE, Fla., March 23 (UPI) -- A stretch of Florida interstate was left looking like the aftermath of a rowdy party early Wednesday when a crash between two semi trucks spilled chips and beer across the road.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a Frito Lay truck stalled shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 95, near Melbourne, and the driver steered the vehicle to the right shoulder of the road.

Investigators said a second truck, carrying a load of Busch beer, attempted to move to the center lane, but swerved back into the right lane when its path was blocked by another vehicle.

The beer truck crashed into the Frito Lay truck, causing the stalled vehicle to overturn and spill bags of chips all over the road.

The beer truck was cut open by the crash and spilled cans of Busch beer onto the roadway.

The drivers were not injured.

The driver of the beer truck, Roberto Rodriquez, was issued a ticket for failing to maintain a single lane.

The southbound lanes of I-95 were closed Wednesday morning while crews worked to clear the beer and chips from the road. The lanes were reopened by 6 a.m.
