LOS ANGELES, March 2 (UPI) -- The owner of Los Angeles' U.S. Bank Tower announced the skyscraper will soon feature an external glass slide 1,000 feet over the ground.

Overseas Union Enterprises Ltd. announced the 45-foot-long Skyslide is expected to be ready for the public in June and will go on the exterior of the building from the 70th floor to the 69th floor's Skyspace Los Angeles observation deck.

The observation deck and slide are part of a $50 million renovation project at the skyscraper.

The company shared renderings of the slide on the Skyspace website.

The slide comes after numerous altitude-oriented attractions added glass-bottom walkways outdoors. A 140-feet-high glass walkway at the London Tower bridge partially shattered in November, just weeks after it opened, when a visitor dropped a beer bottle on the walkway.
