NEW YORK, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- A New York man who listed his backyard "boutique" igloo for $200 a night on Airbnb said the "snowpocalypse's most desirable getaway" was removed by the service.

Patrick Horton, 28, said he and his roommates piled up snow from the recent blizzard in their Brooklyn backyard and spent three hours Sunday hollowing out the pile into an igloo they then listed on Airbnb as a "Boutique Winter Igloo for 2."

"Dripping with ingenuity and alt-lifestyle aura lays this snowpocalypse's most desirable getaway," the post read. "Built completely by hand all natural. Come experience this chic dome-style bungalow with Bae."

Horton said the idea started as a prank, but he and his roommates started to think it could actually work.

"There's actually a section on there where you can check igloo," Horton told DNAinfo.

However, mere hours later Horton received an email from Airbnb saying the post had been removed.

"We are happy to see that you guys are staying busy and having fun during Blizpocalypse," the email read. "Unfortunately, your igloo, while very well constructed, has failed to meet our occupancy standards and has been removed from search results."

Horton said he is still looking to rent out the igloo and has been contacted by interested parties.

"We are still planning on posting it on Craigslist possibly tonight," he told ABC News.
