High school basketball player bounces ball off his head

RUSSELLVILLE, Ala., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- A high school basketball player found an unorthodox way to score a basket during a game in Alabama.

Thwarton high school senior Max Nolen made a shot with his head after failing to catch a high pass from a teammate while standing underneath the basket.

Nolen's girlfriend Ashlyn Vandiver shared video of the shot to Facebook marveling at the strange feat.

"My boyfriend never ceases to amaze me, even if it's making a shot off his head!" she wrote.

The video garnered more than 9,700 views and was shared 158 times.
