MANCHESTER, England, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- A Manchester woman was disgusted after finding a decomposed frog in a salad she ordered from chicken chain restaurant Nando's.

Louise Rudd, 41, discovered the frog while eating a chicken quinoa salad at an East Didsbury location with her son and husband.

"What disgusts me the most is that I'd eaten most of the salad when I found it as it had sank to the bottom," she told Manchester Evening News. "It was horrendous, it was still whole and spread out. I went to the bathroom and was sick."

Although she stated she would never go back to Nando's, Rudd was given free meal vouchers and a Nando's spokesperson released a statement regarding the incident.

"We make every effort to ensure that our food is served to the highest standard," she said. "We continue to work with all of our suppliers to ensure that they deliver to the quality and standards we expect."

Rudd also participated in a tour of Salads To Go, the facility responsible for packaging the salads, with a Nando's employee.

The frog was believed to have been "accidentally harvested" with other salad components and the species of frog is not associated with any known diseases.
