A Starbucks employee can be heard using the audio system to attempt two greetings before activating a video link on the ordering screen, allowing the employee to communicate with the driver in ASL.
"Starbucks! This is what I'm talking about!" King wrote in the video's description.
St. Augustine is home to the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind.
Katie Wyble, the employee seen in the video, said she is proud of the strides her store is making.
"I think more people need to know about what we're doing because it moves customer service to a whole new level," Wyble told WJAX-TV. "I hope it helps make more people aware of what they can to do serve others in their communities."
