CASTLE HILL, Australia, May 8 (UPI) -- An Australian man branded "the guy that throws things" after a video of him throwing objects into place went viral said all of the throws are real -- but some took several tries.

Josh Hawkins, 30, a youth pastor in Castle Hill, New South Wales, racked up millions of views in mere days on his YouTube video titled "The thug life chose me," which features Hawkins throwing objects behind his back to land in an intended place.

The objects include a toothbrush thrown into a holder, a CD thrown into a player, a carton of milk thrown into the door of the refrigerator, a knife into a holder and a hot dog onto a bun.

"I like to throw things into other things," the video's description reads.

Hawkins, branded "the guy who throws things" online, said the video has attracted a lot of skepticism.

"I don't really care, because I know it's real," Hawkins told the Hills Shire Times. "If I was that good at video editing then I wouldn't be working for my church and wouldn't be a pastor, I'd be in Hollywood."

Hawkins said his secret isn't super-human throwing ability -- it's repeated attempts.

"It really takes a lot of patience, that's the secret," he said.

Hawkins said the knife throw, for example, took him about six hours to do correctly. He said some others, like throwing a plate into a dish washer, took only a couple of tries.
