Teacher draws world map from memory in 4 minutes

YINCHUAN, China, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- A Chinese geography teacher who can draw a world map from memory on his classroom's blackboard in four minutes said he has been practicing since middle school.

Wang Boming, an art-major-turned-geography-teacher at Yingcai Junior High School in Yinchuan, said he starts his class by spending four minutes sketching out a map of the world on the board for his students while lecturing on the countries as he draws them.

The teacher said his skill originated when he would sketch the continents during middle school and he has continued to study globes in order to refine the accuracy of his sketches.
