Piglet born with 'elephant trunk' in China

JILIN, China, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- A Chinese farmer said a piglet was born with an "elephant trunk" and no mouth at his farm in the city of Jilin.

The farmer, who gave his name as Mr. Hong, said the piglet was the second in a litter of eight piglets and was the only one of the group born with an "elephant trunk."

The piglet, which did not have a mouth, died about two hours after it was born. Hong said he froze the carcass to preserve the strange animal.
