SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 10 (UPI) -- A San Jose man was surprised when he saw a mountain lion climb on top of his Toyota Camry while watching home security video footage.

The lion was seen by David Tang, the car's owner, who said the cat activated the motion sensors on his camera at about 3 a.m.

"People walk around here at night time and walk with their dogs, so it's dangerous for the people if they don't know," he told ABC 13.

State wildlife officials said the mountain lion weighs about 125 pounds and is two to three years old.

It likely came from the open space and trails near the neighborhood.
