BILLUND, Denmark, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- A British man whose love of Lego blocks is rivaled only by his love for his girlfriend enlisted Denmark's Legoland to help him propose.

Sam Pearce contacted officials at Legoland Billund and asked if they would help him stage his proposal to Sarah King, his girlfriend of 6 1/2 years, at the theme park.

Pearce received permission from the park to add a custom-built modification to one of its displays -- a smiling cow holding a sign reading "Sarah King, will you..." and when the couple approached the display, Pearce dropped to one knee to finish the question.

Park officials covertly videotaped the proposal and posted it on YouTube.

King accepted the proposal.

Pearce said he wanted to propose at the Billund park rather than a closer Legoland location because, "Denmark is the home of Lego, that's where it all started."
