PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- A Philadelphia blogger who began writing about going to the zoo with former Major League Baseball pitcher Roy Halladay on the aptly named website "Zoo With Roy" has changed the title of his site.

The unidentified man switched the name of his blog to "I went to the Zoo with Roy Halladay."

The reason for the change? He actually did make it the zoo with the former Phillies ace.

Halladay came to Philadelphia in 2009, prompting the creation of the blog. This is from its first post: "The goal of this blog, in the most simple terms, is to convince Roy Halladay to go to the zoo with me...I think I can get our new ace to spend a nice afternoon eating funnel cake and looking at tigers."

The message finally got through to Halladay, who retired in 2013, and he arranged to make the trip during a return to Philly.

After the trip, the blog was updated with this post:

"After more than four years, 1,800+ bolg posts, and countless silly indulgences surrendered to in the name of "being ZWR" ... I'm incredibly proud to say that at approximately 10:00 a.m. this morning I went to the zoo with Roy Halladay!"
