This is from its first post: "The goal of this blog, in the most simple terms, is to convince Roy Halladay to go to the zoo with me...I think I can get our new ace to spend a nice afternoon eating funnel cake and looking at tigers."
The message finally got through to Halladay, who retired in 2013, and he arranged to make the trip during a return to Philly.
