Bryson Rowley intentionally hit the stolen car, which was being driven by a 14-year-old who stole it from his grandfather, and ended the dangerous chase. Advertisement Rowley decided to sacrifice his pickup truck because he was worried about the driver hurting the children, including his own, who were playing in the park. "My heart dropped," said Brandy Rowley, Bryson's wife. "I honestly thought one of those kids is going to die." "The person driving the truck could see it was turning back into the park, and he did not want the car to hit all of the children, or any of the children, and he actually pulled his truck in the way so the car collided with the truck," Officer Erin Behm of the Syracuse Police Department told FOX 13. The boy driving the car was taken to a juvenile detention center.
