CLEARWATER, Fla., March 20 (UPI) -- Police in Florida said they are searching for a woman who allegedly swiped a shoe autographed by Hulk Hogan from a store owned by the former wrestler.

Investigators said the suspect, described as a heavyset woman in her 50s, was one of a group of four women who visited Hogan's Beach Shop in Clearwater Sunday afternoon. A large statue of Hogan outside the store fell over about four minutes later, distracting store employees, WTSP-TV, Tampa, Fla., reported Thursday.

The woman allegedly stole a Steve Cardillo shoe once worn by Hogan and autographed by the former professional wrestler while the workers were distracted, police said. The shoe was not noticed missing until Tuesday.

Police said the woman may have been with Michigan residents visiting Florida for spring break.
