Rob Ford messes up Daylight Saving Time

Rob Ford needs to learn the value of silence.

TORONTO, March 9 (UPI) -- In his latest gaffe, Toronto mayor Rob Ford messes up Daylight Saving Time by telling everyone to set their clocks back rather than forward.

"Daylight Saving Time starts this evening, turn your clocks back and change batteries in smoke alarms." tweeted Ford.

The tweet was deleted and replaced 30 minutes later, but not before the Internet descended upon the tweet with all the criticism it had to offer.

People tweeted the idiocy of the mistake and gave him pretty substantial flak for it.

However, some people on Twitter pointed out that among all of the things Ford has done -- crack smoking, lying about crack smoking, public intoxication, homophobic comments... -- making a mistake on the correct protocol for Daylight Saving Time is pretty low on the list.
