THOMPSON, Manitoba, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- A video of a Canada couple blowing bubbles that quickly freeze in the winter air has gone viral after appearing on Reddit.

The video was shot on March 11, 2009, on the coldest day of the winter so far that year, the caption reads.

The temperature was 49 below zero, and the wind chill was 50 below zero.

"Keep blowing bubbles, hun!" Ted Goossen shouts as his unnamed wife stands blowing bubbles nearby. "It's a good day to blow bubbles!"

He then hands over the camera to his wife and begins blowing the bubbles himself -- and catching the frozen ones with his bare hands, CBC News reported.

"It is a little cool out here. Some of you are wondering what I'm doing without my jacket," he says. "I do have my head covered. That's where most of the heat goes."

He then throws a glass of water into the air, which turns into snow and falls down on him.

After the video appeared on Reddit Thursday, a series of new comments were posted.

"I watched this just for the commentary. Your sweet words warmed my heart. I hope to be an old cheesy married couple like you two one day!" wrote one commenter.
