Donald DeVault, 73, of Omaha, said the motorcycle stolen from his home Feb. 4, 1967, was recovered last week in the Port of Los Angeles when U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents found its vehicle identification number on a list of stolen property, The Omaha World Herald reported Thursday. Advertisement Lou Koven, an investigator with the National Insurance Crime Bureau in Los Angeles, said the bike was being shipped to Yokohama, Japan, when it was discovered. Koven said the bike was valued at $300 when it was stolen, and it has now increased in value to $9,000. DeVault said he was delighted to see his motorcycle again when it was shipped to McMullen Trucking in Carter Lake, Iowa. "Well, I love it,'' DeVault said.
