Man accused of throwing spear at vehicle

SACRAMENTO, June 21 (UPI) -- Police in California said they have arrested a man accused of throwing a spear that became lodged in the front of a vehicle.

Sacramento police said a witness told officers Jeffrey Allen Jones, 56, threw the spear Tuesday that struck a passing vehicle and became lodged in the front fender, The Sacramento Bee reported Friday.

Jones was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
