Parents, grandparents busted shoplifting

PESARO, Italy, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Italian police said they arrested a gang of shoplifters consisting of parents and the children's grandparents who allegedly hid goods in children's strollers.

Pesaro, Italy, police said the family was concealing more than $1,000 worth of goods from a supermarket in the children's strollers Wednesday, ANSA reported.

The 40-year-old parents, whose names weren't released, allegedly stashed cosmetics, a cellphone and clothing in the stroller while the grandparents, whose names and ages weren't released, allegedly took meat and fish from the store, police said.

The family was spotted by store managers, who called police. The parents and grandparents were arrested.
