The latest was discovered Saturday in a pond at Lily Pond County Park in Ronkonkoma, the New York Post reported. Advertisement "When the water gets to 55 degrees, their livers can crystallize, and they die," said Suffolk County Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals Lt. Raymond Galoppi. Suffolk County SCPA chief Roy Gross said this is the seventh alligator and 10th reptile his department has caught this month. "I've never in the 28 years I've been with the Suffolk County SCPA seen that many alligators or reptiles captured in this short a period of time," he said. "It's insane. They're readily available on the Internet. They'll ship them FedEx to you overnight."
