Corbin Prydwen of Roanoke said prostitutes have been standing on street corners near his home at all hours of the day and night for the past several years, WDBJ-TV, Roanoke, reported Wednesday. Advertisement "I asked them nicely please don't stand on my corner and I've gotten a lot of negative response from them. I've actually had a knife pulled on me by one of them," Prydwen said. Prydwen said he recently decided he was fed up and posted a "Hookers go away" sign in the neighborhood. The sign has received positive feedback from neighbors. "I'm glad (he's doing it). I do agree with him. We've got kids. They don't want to see that nasty crap," neighbor Rose Son said. Police said eight prostitutes and 16 people accused of soliciting prostitutes have been arrested in the area since January.
