KILLYLEAGH, Northern Ireland, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- A Northern Ireland woman whose father's field was covered in tons of fish from an overturned truck said the scene was "like something out of the Bible."

Louise Flinn, who snapped a widely spread picture of the fish flood at the Killyleagh field owned by her father, Gordon, 71, said the sight was "like a catastrophe, as though the fish had fallen out of the sky," the Belfast Telegraph reported Tuesday.

"We really couldn't believe it until we saw it," she said. "It really was like something out of the Bible."

Gordon Flinn said the truck plowed through a hedge and overturned about 8 feet into his field, causing fish to pile up to 2 feet deep.

"My wife took a call from the police, and when we went and saw the field, I found it hard to take in at first," he said. "It's an accident black spot, so we're used to hearing about crashes -- but you usually don't get fish delivered."

Flinn said the truck driver was initially taken to a hospital but later returned to the crash scene.
