Sydney police said a man left the suitcase behind around 8 a.m. Tuesday after ordering a coffee at the Caffe Marco, The Sydney Morning Herald reported Tuesday. Advertisement The owners originally suspected the suitcase may have contained a bomb and took it out to the sidewalk while waiting for police. "They took it into a stairwell away from public view and opened it," a worker said. Witnesses indicated the suitcase contained as much as $1 million, but police said the money was still being counted and described the amount as "a significant sum." A suspect matching the description of the man who left the suitcase was taken into custody and hospitalized after a pre-existing medical condition flared up, police said.
