CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y., Sept. 18 (UPI) -- A 400-pound concrete lion has disappeared from outside a Buffalo, N.Y.-area barber shop, police said.

The lion, dubbed Leo, was one of five that decorated the outside of Gary's Barber Shop in Cheektowaga, N.Y. The sculpture went missing late Sept. 11 or early the next morning, The Buffalo (N.Y.) News reported Sunday.

The owners of the barber shop, Gary and Dawn Bulinkski suspect more than one person is responsible for the theft because no drag marks were left at the scene.

"They're pretty big, 3 1/2 to 4 feet tall," Dawn said. "And, they're concrete. There had to be four to five guys to lift it."

The Bulinkskis have offered $100 and 10 free haircuts as a reward to anyone with information leading to the recovery of the $300 statue.
