JAMESTOWN, N.Y., Aug. 8 (UPI) -- A total of 915 Lucille Ball look-alikes converged on Jamestown, N.Y., to celebrate the late comedian's 100th birthday and set a world record, officials say.

Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Center for Comedy hosted the "Be a Lucy" event Saturday, The Buffalo (N.Y.) News reported.

Pending verification, the record will be entered in Guinness World Records next year for "Most People Dressed as Lucy Ricardo in One Place at One Time."

All of the 915 men, women and children counted toward the record sported at least three Lucy trademarks: her iconic red, updo hairstyle, red lipstick and an outfit worn in one of the 194 episodes of the original "I Love Lucy" series.

The record-setting event was just one part of the five-day Lucy Fest.
