NORTH RUSTICO, Prince Edward Island, June 24 (UPI) -- Two blue lobsters caught off Canada's Prince Edward Island have been dubbed Will and Kate in honor of an upcoming visit by the royal couple.

Norm Peters, the curator of the Rustico Harbour Fishing Museum in North Rustico, said a blue lobster caught June 2 and a half blue, half orange lobster caught about the same time were named after Prince William and Princess Kate on a suggestion from a tourist from Philadelphia, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Friday.

"Well, I said, 'What an idea.' They are both females. This is it, they are both females, but Kate and William will have to just go along with that," Peters said.

About one in 4 million lobsters are blue as a result of a genetic mutation, he said.
