The police report said the incident was only the latest in a string of several incidents involving Mowery causing disturbances at the shop.

Officers returned to the restaurant at about 3:53 p.m. when Mowery came back into the store and allegedly attempted to assault a clerk behind the counter, the report said. The clerk was able to fend off the attacker with a knife, the newspaper said.

Mowery was arrested and charged with assault and criminal trespass. He was taken to the Lorain County Jail.
