Hernando County sheriff's deputies said Michael Cherubino, 51, told them two men attacked him Tuesday at his Spring Hill home, stabbed him in the stomach and fled with about $4,000 of his money, the St. Petersburg Times reported Wednesday. The sheriff's office said Cherubino was issued a notice to appear on a charge of giving a false report to law enforcement.
