KOHLER, Wis., April 21 (UPI) -- Kohler Co., based in Wisconsin, says it has created a toilet featuring an automatically opening lid and a pulsating/oscillating bidet with an air dryer.

Kohler said the Numi toilet, which will soon go on sale for $6,390, features minimalist design as well as a heated seat with adjustable height and a charcoal-filter deodorizer, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Wednesday.

"It is our most advanced toilet," product manager Mike Marbach said. "At Kohler Co., we are always trying to be on the leading edge, and this product is really a blend of leading-edge technology and leading-edge design, and not sacrificing one for the other."

He said the toilet, which employs a motion sensor for its automatically rising lid, can also be programmed to play the sounds of rushing water and piano music upon approach.

Marbach said the toilet will go on sale in the fall.
