LONDON, April 1 (UPI) -- Media outlets in Britain marked April Fools' Day with stories of stuffing a beloved polar bear, a wet dog scented perfume and gorillas with iPads.

The Daily Telegraph reported a hoax tale of a fragrance called Eau de Mutt, supposedly created by the Scottish company Moggy to replicate the smell of a wet dog. The story identified the chief executive of the company as "Pup Hound."

Meanwhile, both The Daily Telegraph and Sweden's The Local reported on hoax plans to stuff Knut, the polar bear that died March 19 at the Berlin Zoo. The papers said protests were being organized to prevent staff from stuffing the animal's hide and turning his insides into a plasticized display.

The Sun ran a hoax picture of gorillas using iPads, with a comment from wildlife expert Terry Nutkins cautioning they had not yet figured out Facebook or Twitter, while The Metro ran a story about the discovery of a unicorn skeleton in the Tower of London.
