SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- A fall through the ceiling of her Texas home was not enough to stop broadcaster Pat Summerall's wife from hosting a pre-Super Bowl party, the planner said.

Kaye Burkhardt, who arranged the party for 100 guests Friday night at the Southlake home, said Cheri Summerall was in the attic early Friday to shut off the water due to frozen pipes causing floods when she fell through the ceiling to the home's exercise room, The Dallas Morning News reported Monday.

However, Burkhardt said Summerall's minor injuries were not enough to prevent her from getting herself and her home ready to host 100 guests for Friday night's party.

"She came off the injured reserve list in a hurry," Burkhardt said. "When she came down for the party, she looked like a movie star."

"It was one of the most beautiful events I've ever attended," Burkhardt said.
