Ramajit Raghav, a Kharkhoda farm laborer, said his wife, Shakuntala, who is in her mid-50s, recently gave birth to a son at Kharkhoda Civil Hospital, The Times of India reported Tuesday. Advertisement Hospital officials confirmed the birth but did not confirm whether Raghav was the child's father. His claims would make him India's oldest father, edging out a man who fathered his 22nd child at the age of 90 in 2007. Raghav said his son, Karamjit, was "god's gift" to him and his wife.
