Investigators said the men abandoned their getaway car, a stolen gold Chevrolet Malibu, after a red dye pack exploded and they continued to flee the area in a blue Nissan.
A Cherokee County sheriff's deputy attempted to pull the car over when he spotted money blowing out of the windows but he lost sight of the vehicle until he discovered it crashed a few miles away.
All of the men except Baker were discovered hiding in some nearby woods and arrested. Baker was later found hiding in a trash can by a canine team.
Brian Lindsey, who was out on bond awaiting trial for a robbery charge, was arrested Tuesday after police determined he planned the crime and provided the masks and toy gun.
The five suspects were charged with bank robbery.
