CLEVELAND, June 6 (UPI) -- An Ohio high school principal said he was "sick to his stomach" when 330 diplomas were issued to students with the typo "educaiton" printed on them.

Westlake High School Principal Timothy Freeman took the blame for the massive misprint, which showed up at the students' commencement ceremony at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland Saturday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported.

Freeman said the diplomas had been sent back to the printer once for corrections to signatures.

"We just cracked open the box and all of the signatures were fixed. We never even thought to go back and read the small print because we already had," he said.

Freeman said the printing company, Jostens, fixed the diplomas for free, but the incident was still "the bane of my existence."
