GLASGOW, Scotland, July 30 (UPI) -- A Scottish baggage-handler who helped foil the Glasgow Airport terror attack is back on the job.

John Smeaton, who helped overpower one of the terror suspects June 30, found himself shaking hands and posing for photos with fans, and even tossing out a few kisses to airline hostesses when he returned to work this past weekend, The Scotsman reported.

"I'm happy to be back; I just want things to get back to normal," Smeaton said. "I'm the same person. People notice me now but I'm just the same John, I'm just bog standard run-of-the-mill John. I know certain things have changed, but I'm not going to let it change me."

And while the common man-turned-hero basked in the glow, international film star Christopher Lee of "Lord of the Rings" made his way through the airport largely unnoticed.
