O.J. booted out of Kentucky restaurant

LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 9 (UPI) -- The owner of an upscale Louisville, Ky., steakhouse who said he was angry over O.J. Simpson's book, "If I Did It," kicked Simpson out of the place.

Jeff Ruby said he asked Simpson to leave his restaurant shortly after the former football star arrived late Friday night, The Louisville Courier Journal reported Wednesday.

Ruby said Simpson had visited his restaurants before the 1994 deaths of Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman, but he said Simpson's activities since his acquittal of homicide charges were unacceptable.

Simpson caused in uproar last year when it was announced he would publish "If I Did It" -- billed as a fictional account of how he might have killed the two victims, if he had been the real killer.

Ruby said restaurant patrons applauded as Simpson left the restaurant.
