Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 4 (UPI) -- A Swedish taxi driver who thought he was witnessing an attempted rape ran over the alleged assailant, who turned out to be the woman's boyfriend. The cab driver, who is in his 60s, told police he saw two men running after a half-naked woman Saturday night and, believing she was in trouble, knocked one of them down with his taxi, The Local reported. Advertisement "According to the parties, this was not a rape. The woman and her boyfriend had had a row, and in her anger she had run out," Tommy Jansson of the Stockholm police told The Local. The 20-year-old boyfriend was not seriously injured, police said. The taxi driver initially fled the scene but later reported what had happened, The Local reported. Police said they think the taxi driver's behavior may constitute serious assault.
