White voters split 48 - 51 percent on whether to share some turkey with the mayor but only 28 percent of black voters and 32 percent of Hispanic voters said they would like to break a wishbone with Bloomberg.

"Maybe they're just bashful," Quinnipiac's Maurice Carroll advised, "or maybe they're nervous about which fork to use, but most New Yorkers would RSVP 'No' to (Bloomberg's) holiday invite."

The survey was conducted Nov. 5-8 of 1,221 registered New York City voters. The results have a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percentage points.
