MUNDELEIN, Ill., July 8 (UPI) -- Police are on the hunt for 20 plastic pigs porknapped from the lawn of a suburban Chicago home where they were being rented out for a church fundraiser.

Mundelein Deputy Police Chief Michael O'Brien told the Arlington Heights Daily Herald the culprits were most likely kids playing a prank, since there isn't much black-market demand for foot-tall plastic swine.

"These things usually turn up somewhere down the line in somebody else's front yard," O'Brien said. "(But) we handle this no differently than any other theft investigation."

The 10 little pigs were swiped Monday from Gary and Rita Gunther's lawn. The teen group of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church had been renting the pigs to raise money for a trip.
