BILL COSBY NO FAN OF OSBOURNES

Bill Cosby, who played the father of five on the hit television show "The Cosby Show," in the 1980s, is not a fan of the recently popular television family "The Osbournes."

Cosby says the media should forget about the profane exploits of Ozzy and his family. "This is a sad, sad family. It is a sad case. The children are sad and the parents are sad. And this is not entertainment," Cosby says on the syndicated television show "Access Hollywood."

The real day-to-day often bleeped-out exploits of the aged rocker and his family filmed in their Hollywood home were a hit for cable television's MTV, and the family has signed on for another year of reality television for a reported $7 million.

Since the surprise hit in March, the Osbournes have attended almost every big media event such as the Oscars and the Washington's Gridiron dinner, attended by President Bush, and have become regulars on talk shows and magazine covers. Cosby thinks the media should stop the hype.

CLUTTER BUSTING

The hardest part of busting clutter and putting one's life in order is getting started, no matter what organizational method is chosen, according to several clutter-busting gurus.

"Life is overwhelming in general, people have become inundated with things coming in so quickly," says Linda Rothschild, past president of the National Association of Professional Organizers.

Some believe people should first deal with the reason for excessive clutter such as the fear of being without, competition with neighbors and peers, not having time to organize or put things away, living with people who are "clutterbugs" or just "holding on to lovable items.

Neil Balter, a closet organizing expert and consultant to ClosetMaid, suggests tackling one closet by immediately getting rid of 10 things -- the shoes with the curled up toes, the beautiful blouse with the wine stain across the front and the sweatshirts with holes.

Balter says the closet itself can be part of the closet clutter problem because most have one shelf and one pole but "double hanging" and increasing shelving can increase storage space.

"Most people, live by the 80/20 rule -- they wear 20 percent of the clothes in their closet 80 percent of the time so they need to get rid of the dress a woman met her husband in or a suit that a salesman wore on a record-breaking day, Balter said.
