Ron Howard wins directing Oscar

LOS ANGELES, March 24 (UPI) -- Ron Howard won the directing Oscar Sunday for "A Beautiful Mind." It was his first Oscar, and the third for his movie about schizophrenic Nobel Prize-winning mathematician John Forbes Nash Jr.
