Sept. 24 (UPI) -- HBO Max announced Friday it has renewed the comedy The Other Two for a third season. The Season 2 finale aired Thursday on the streaming service.

The Other Two stars Drew Tarver and Heléne Yorke as Cary and Brooke Dubek. Cary and Brooke are siblings of a teen pop star, Chase Dreams (Case Walker).

With Chase commanding the spotlight, Brooke and Cary struggle to find their place in the industry. Season 2 saw their mother, Pat (Molly Shannon) get her own talk show while Chase went to college.

Brooke became Pat's manager in Season 2, co-managing her career with Chase's manager Streeter (Ken Marino). Meanwhile, Cary struggled through a slew of hosting jobs for D-list showbiz programs. Wanda Sykes, Justin Bartha, Jordana Brewster, Debi Mazar and more guest starred in the second season.

The Other Two premiered on Comedy Central in 2019. Season 2 went back into production in New York in early 2020.

When the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic shut down production in March 2020, The Other Two had completed five of their 10 episodes. By the time they resumed production, WarnerMedia moved the show to HBO Max.
