May 14 (UPI) -- Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has signed a new, three-year contract with ABC.

The network confirmed in a press release Tuesday the 51-year-old television personality will host and executive produce Jimmy Kimmel Live! through its 20th season.

Kimmel is in his 17th season of Jimmy Kimmel Live! He has racked up over 10 billion views and 14 million subscribers on YouTube since the show premiered in 2003, and has hosted the Oscars twice, as well as the Primetime Emmys.

Kimmel recently launched his own production company, Kimmelot Productions, and will host and executive produce ABC's upcoming tribute to All in the Family and The Jeffersons. The special airs May 22.

Deadline said keeping Kimmel has been a priority for ABC. Kimmel discussed his future in late-night during an interview on Conan O'Brien's podcast, Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, this month.

"The thing that scares me [about ending Jimmy Kimmel Live!] is I don't know how I'll feel when I stop doing it," the star told O'Brien.

"I could see myself going, 'Okay, that's it, I'm done,' and then going home and saying, 'What did I do?'" he elaborated. "That scares me. There's that 'what if.' What if I stop doing and then I just don't know what to do with myself?"
