Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Jennifer Garner and J.J. Abrams are reuniting on a new limited series from Apple.

Entertainment Weekly reported the 46-year-old actress and 52-year-old producer, who previously worked together on the show Alias, will team up on an adaptation of My Glory Was I Had Such Friends.

My Glory Was I Had Such Friends is based on the Amy Silverstein memoir of the same name, which revolves around the group of women who supported the author as she waited for her second heart transplant.

Karen Croner will pen the script and executive produce with Abrams, Silverstein and Ben Stephenson. Garner confirmed her involvement with the project in a post Thursday on Instagram Stories.

"@amysilversteinauthor is letting @jjabramsofficial and me tell her beautiful story," the 46-year-old actress said.

"If your girlfriends have carried you life's bumps, read this book!" she said of Silverstein's memoir.

Garner starred as Sydney Bristow on Alias, which had a five-season run on ABC from 2001 to 2006. She told The Hollywood Reporter in October an Alias reboot is "happening," but said she hasn't been approached about the project.
