June 19 (UPI) -- Former Bachelor star Bob Guiney is going to be a dad.
The 47-year-old television personality announced in an Instagram post Monday that he's expecting a baby boy with wife Jessica Canyon.
Guiney posted a collage of photos from the couple's "gender reveal" party with family and friends. One picture shows the pair's dog, Phoebe, wearing a wreath with blue flowers.
"It's official!!! @jescanyon and I are SO excited to announce to our friends and family that were expecting!! #phoebethewonderdog is all fired up!! #thankful #happy #family," Guiney captioned the post.
Canyon shared a slideshow of photos from the celebration on her own account.
"Yep. We're goin for it! #itsaboy #genderreveal #sohappy #ourlittlefamily #boymom #cantwait [photo by] @amandavalentinephotography @thesweetsideseattle," she wrote.
Guiney and Canyon, who married in November 2016, told People Canyon is due to give birth in December.
"We're so excited!" Guiney said. "We've been keeping it a secret for quite a while and we couldn't wait to share it with everyone. We're feeling so lucky and very thankful!"
Guiney competed in The Bachelorette Season 1 before starring in The Bachelor Season 4. He was previously married to All My Children actress Rebecca Budig.
