June 18 (UPI) -- Emma Roberts is teasing her return to the FX series American Horror Story.

The 27-year-old actress appeared to hint in an Instagram video Sunday that her character Madison Montgomery will appear in the upcoming Murder House and Coven crossover season.

Roberts played Madison in Coven, the third season of American Horror Story. She posted a clip of herself reciting one of the character's famous lines from the season.

"Surprise, [expletive]. Bet you thought you'd seen the last of me," the star said.

Roberts later spoke with American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy while live-tweeting the new episode of Murphy's series Pose.

"@RobertsEmma, guess what ur opening line is? #PoseFX," Murphy wrote in a since-deleted post.

"Hehe pray tell! #POSEFX I think I have an idea ;)," Roberts responded.

Roberts also tweeted with former co-star Sarah Paulson, who played Billie Dean Howard in Murder House and Cordelia Foxx in Coven.

"But Madison- stealing is bad. #POSEFX," Paulson wrote.

"Oh please Cordelia! Can't wait to have a face to face hehe," Roberts responded.

The Murder House and Coven crossover will mark the eighth season of American Horror Story. Murphy confirmed the project this month, saying the season will be "fantasy inspired" and set in the near future.
